Dear Visitor: Welcome to Anatolia! Anatolia is an integrated educational center that features :
-
An elementary school with some 550 pupils
-
A Greek high school of 1.150 students featuring extensive instruction in English
-
An International Baccalaureate world school of 150 students in which all instruction is in English
-
A NEASC-accredited* college – known as The American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), offering Bachelor’s degrees, and an MBA program.
-
All of these schools are situated contiguously on our beautiful campus on the road to the scenic suburb of Panorama above the metropolis of Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city (1.3 million residents).
In many ways, Anatolia is a remarkable institution. It has been in existence for more than 125 years. It has faced every type of adversity, endured three wars, changed location three times, including a move from Asia to Europe in 1924. The school has overcome all of these setbacks to emerge as a strong and vibrant international center of learning preparing young men and women for the challenges of the 21st century.
For more than eight decades, the secondary school, known as Anatolia College, has been among the best in Greece. The school has a long and impressive track record of sending students to the highest ranking universities in Greece and abroad – especially in the United Kingdom and the USA. Anatolia remains the country’s only private secondary school with a full boarding program and one of two in Northern Greece with an International Baccalaureate program.
Founded in 1981, ACT, Anatolia’s division for undergraduate and graduate studies, has been a bridge connecting America to Greece and the Balkans as one of just six institutions outside the United States with full, free-standing U.S. accreditation and recently received EU validation of all degrees from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom as well as an operating license from the Greek Ministry of Education.
Since 1886, generations of students have been proud to be part of our welcoming, inclusive and vibrant international community. We hope that your inspection of this website will encourage you to learn more about the ways and means through which you might also become a part of the Anatolia legacy.
