ANATOLIA COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM GREECE CAME TO BOSTON Students took in the Boston sites before representing Venezuela in Harvard Model United Nations
BOSTON, MA – February 2, 2010--- Anatolia College, an American college and K-12 school based in Thessaloniki, Greece, with offices on “the hill” in Boston, sent a delegation of 10 students from Greece this past week. They were the only students from their country to take place in the Harvard Model UN conference.
As April T. Qian, Security-General of The Harvard National Model United Nations says, the HMUN is made for “experiential education through debate, diplomacy, and compromise. Every year, nearly 3,000 college and university delegates from the US and over 35 countries around the world attend HMUN to discuss a multitude of issues at the forefront of international relations.” The delegates from Anatolia were excited with the challenge of representing Venezuela.
Over the last week students were exposed to the city of Boston and all its highlights. The students visited Boston landmarks such as the New England Aquarium, Faneuil Hall, the Museum of Science, the Prudential Center and the Museum of Fine Arts. They were even treated to a tour of the State House, a show with a Boston favorite the Blue Man Group, and a Celtics game, where they made the jumbotron. Along with the rest of the events, was a tour of Boston campuses.
